Collars and Leashes

Collars and leashes are items every pet owner should own, and very dog and cat should have, at the very least, a collar. First and foremost, they let strangers know the animal is not a stray. Secondly, they are the ideal way to keep identification tags on your pet in the event they become lost.

Collars and leashes can be made from any number of materials, but are most commonly made from nylon or leather. Whatever material you choose, it should be one that is extremely durable. These items should be replaced if they start to show wear and tear.

Many pet owners opt for designer collars and leashes. While excessive, these items can definitely add a bit of character to your pet. Many of these items can be expensive, so it is important to realize that a regular collar and leash works just as well as a designer version.
